ShowRunner Gets It Done – Auto-Switching
Great news! Crestron recently issued a firmware update for Zūm wired that includes “auto switching” from CNET mode to APP mode if the network or processor goes down, and then back to CNET mode when the network is restored. Zūm Mode Auto Switch (Auto Switch) is perfect for use with ShowRunner™.
Zūm devices can be setup in CNET mode on each install to maximize programmatic control capabilities to meet sequence of operation requirements as specified, and to adapt programmatically to meet the “surprise” requirements that surface mid-project – all while still meeting the SOO requirement for local control in the event of processor/network failure. A perfect solution delivered by Crestron®.

Crestron® Release Notes – New Features
- Zūm Mode Auto Switch (Auto Switch)
- Enables Zūm Wired CNET Rooms to automatically switch over to Zūm Mode when the control system connected goes offline. The room will automatically also revert to CNET
Zūm Wired PUF Release Notes
- Zūm mode when the control system is back online. While the room is operating in Zūm Mode, the room will use default logic or the APP configured logic.
- Zūm Mode Auto Switch feature is intended for custom program systems.
*Note: configuration changes to the room should be completed prior to adding a control system or while the control system is offline.
*Important: The recommended control system offline timeout should be set to no more than 160s.
